Mount Gay Masters Select 1703 Blend 2016 Vintage was the FIRST EVER MS edition released. Due to the scarcity of our most mature casks, Master Blender Allen Smith creates just one annual batch of 1703 Master Select. 1703 Master Select is a blend of pot still and column rums, ranging from 10 to 30 years. The precious batch is then hand-bottled, hand –labeled, and hand-packed, resulting in limited quantities each year. The 2016 Release was crafted from 55 Barrels, resulting in 12,000 bottles for all markets. This vintage is now sold out worldwide EXCEPT for Bermuda!
1703 Master Select Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Rich amber, like warm burnished copper with even legs
Nose: A refined harmony of fruity rich vanilla, banana and oaky and mocha notes
Palate: A delicious balance of raisin, spice and toast
Finish: Exceptional roundness with a long, delicate finish.
