The 13-year-old Chivas Regal Extra (also referred to as Chivas Regal 13 or Chivas Extra 13) is a luxuriously smooth blended Scotch whisky, elevated by selective maturation in sherry, bourbon, rye, rum or tequila casks depending on the edition. The classic sherry‚Äëcask version delivers stewed orchard and dried fruits, creamy caramel and vanilla, roasted nuts, baking spices and a dry, tobacco‚Äëtinged finish. It offers a velvety mouthfeel with layers of vanilla fudge, pear, blackberry crumble, frangipane and lightly spiced toffee apple. A touch of tobacco and mild oak lingers on the finish.
