Description
Traditional Falanghina is cultivated in southern Italy, in the Campania region, on volcanic soil and in Puglia with the warm Mediterranean climate. Although one of the symbols of enology, Falanghina is still rare outside the Italian territory. The main aroma associated with Falanghina are citrus fruits in general and pine. In the mouth, it has spicy and even mineral notes. To try a wine made with Falanghina, try pairing it with a Caprese salad or rocket pizza. They are excellent combinations for this wine.
The Sommelier: The Falanghina is a white grape, whose berry is yellowish in color, and is covered with a thin layer of wax. The wine produced with Vasevo's Falanghina is relatively full-bodied, with a good alcohol content, 12.50% Vol; The main aroma associated with Falanghina are orange blossom and citrus fruit in general. In the mouth it manifests itself with flavors of apple and pear, with spicy and also mineral notes, definitely a fresh, lively and balanced wine in the finish.
Recommended pairings: Made in Italy pizza, Linguine with clams, raw or cooked tarantine mussels, stuffed squid; cold octopus and calamari salad, prosciutto and yellow melon, cheeses and piadina from Romagna, fresh fruit: peaches; dried fruit.
Uncork and serve at 10-12 ° C in a Tulip glass.
